"This is just to say"

Today we wrote "This is just to say" poems.

''This is just to say''

This is just to say'

I punched you in the face,

because you were being annoying

It felt so good to punch you in the face

Forgive me, but it was just so funny

I'm truly sorry

This is just to say'

I put slime in your hair

i watched you try to take it out bit by bit

your hair smelt like slime

you were sad

forgive me, but it was just so hilarious

5 adverb start sentences!

so today we did these 5 adverb start sentences with words our class came up with!

Slowly, Lyzea copied the person next to her.

Sadly, Hinerau's dog passed away.

Cluelessly, Kaea didn't know the answer to question 10.

Joyfully, Lily-Anne jumped.

Fortunately, Maia missed the bus.

writing

here is a peace of writing I've done this week.

I can still feel the warmth of the sun on the trunk of the pine tree, even though it's dark.

When I told Dad I was going for a walk, He was struggling with the farm accounts.

He won't stay up waiting for me.

He thinks mum is overly protective, that she shouldn't worry so much, that i'm tougher than she thinks.

And he needs his sleep.

The night-vision goggles are slipping on my head so I have to stop and adjust the straps.

There had been a lot in the newspaper article yesterday about them as well - how I go out at night into the forestry, about how the goggles work, about how they give me some freedom to be a kid, about what I get to see in the dark like the morepork I think of as my own, and the possums.

6 words, and meanings

we had to create, meanings of 6 words.

 Certain

Certain means, basically 100% but a little bit less.

able to be firmly relied on to happen or be the case.

example: he is certain he did his work.

Impossible:

Impossible means, basically no chance.

not able to occur, exist, or be done.

example: she was in an impossible situation.

Even chance

Even chance means, basically fifty-fifty 50% chance, so it's fair and even.

If you toss a coin, there is an equal probability of it being either heads or tales.

Of course, some things have an even chance of happening.

example: he tossed a coin it landed on tails.

Likely:

Likely means, basically it would most likely happen.

such as well might happen or be true; probable.

It's promising.

example: she would either most likely land the back-flip.

Possible:

Possible means, able to be done or achieved.

having as much or as little of a specified quality as can be achieved.

example: he was a possible future customer.

Unlikely:
Unlikely means, not likely to happen, be done, or be true; improbable.

So basically, if there were either two types of glass and I jumped on one it would be unlikely I would jump on the one that could hold my weight.

example: it was unlikely she passed her driving test.
